Kristine Foley

Kristine Foley is an unobtrusive, perceptive and whimsical lifestyle and documentary photographer, looking for the in-between moments. What people do when they are unaware, they’re being watched.

Those tender, honest, unguarded expressions and gestures that reveal humanity and capture spirit. While Kristine often directs people to find the best angle and light, she tends to stay away from the staged, gravitating instead towards spontaneous and unexpected.

In high school Kristine found herself spending hours and hours in a darkroom that her dad had built for her in their basement. She knew then that she wanted to pursue photography as a career. Kristine majored in fine art photography at Bard College, receiving her BA, and went on to become an editorial photographer for Martha Stewart Living, honing in on her love of details and beautiful things.

For the past decade, Kristine have been photographing weddings and families, truly coming into her own as an artist. Her work has appeared in prestigious and popular publications such as The Knot, Martha Stewart Weddings, Brooklyn Bride, PDN, and Rock n Roll Bride. But the thing Kristine is most proud of is her ability to connect with people of all ages, ethnicities, genders, religions, and having the honor of witnessing them celebrate a major life event, whether it’s a rooftop wedding in Brooklyn, a teenager's proud moment on the bema, or parents bringing home the newest member of their brood, all rosy-cheeked and swaddled tight.
